Here’s how I became a copywriter.

In 2007, I received a grant from the city of Houston to self-produce a weekend of my plays. The grant provided the opportunity for a lot of firsts: the first time to produce a show, the first time to direct my own work, and the first time to create a marketing campaign. The moment I wrote my first tagline, FIGHT STUPIDIZATION, I was hooked.

The plays are long gone, but I still give the stickers away and have mailed them to destinations all over the globe.

We have a lot more work to do.
