The 20-hour mini-series (maybe it’s shorter than that) The Stand is on Chiller tonight. If you don’t know the story, it’s about a flu that knocks out 99.9 percent of the population of the world (including animals) (except birds). The few human survivors split into two camps – the “good” people go to a corn field in Nebraska (Colorado?) while the “bad” people all congregate in Las Vegas (of course).
So the question is, if the end of the world came, through disease, war, environmental damage, asteroid, famine or aliens, do you think you would be one of the .1 percent that survived? Because I do. And I’m wondering if everyone feels that way. So please answer my poll, top right.
We were on the same page with the facebook question (the majority of you hide douche-baggy commenters rather than unfriending them), so I’m curious to see where we all stand on this question. Maybe it’s just human nature to think you’re special and would survive a catastrophe like that.
