the reading

Here’s more info about tomorrow night’s reading. Seating is limited, so if you’re interested in coming I suggest you RSVP. I’m doing this reading because of my grant from Houston Arts Alliance, which is the only way I’m able to do the production in December. We rehearsed (for the reading) last night, sans stuffed animals, and it went well. Evidently the woman who played the role last week in NY did something sort of Holly Hunter-esque with the character, which played really funny. I hear it in my head, but I don’t have the balls to “act” and will not be doing it in front of anyone. However, when I direct this piece for the production, I may have my actor do something similar. That’s what is great about having actors and directors involved with your work. They find different things to do with the play that you may not have ever thought of. This can be a bad thing, too, of course…

I get my postcards tomorrow. Let me know if you’d like a few to hand out to your friends. And please check out my website for more info on the show and who is involved.
